Starting and the Free plan

How do I start?

Press Start free and sign up with the method the sign-up page offers. Then give your shop's name (Arabic is fine) and a separate sign-in name in English, and accept the Terms of service.

The shop opens on the Free plan and no card is asked for. A short checklist (Shop, Team, Products) then helps you get ready to sell; none of its steps blocks a sale.

Is there a free trial?

No. There is no trial period. A new shop starts on the Free plan, which has no end date and needs no card. You move to a paid plan only when you choose to.

What does the Free plan include, and where does it stop?
  • Selling at the till, customers, returns and exchanges, and sales and stock reports.
  • One card of data analysis to try; the full reading comes with the paid plans.
  • Only the owner signs in. Staff logins, purchasing and suppliers, and staff payroll and commissions come with the paid plans.
  • Receipts carry the RetailPower mark; your own logo comes with the paid plans.

The limits on branches, logins and products are listed on the Prices page. A sale is never blocked at a limit: only adding more stops.

Can I bring my products from a spreadsheet?

Yes. The product import reads a spreadsheet or CSV file (.xlsx, .xls or .csv), including files exported from other point-of-sale programs. An import can be undone for 7 days. Customers and suppliers can be imported the same way.

Is RetailPower in Arabic and English?

Yes. Every screen, report and printout is in Arabic, right to left, with English alongside.

Prices and paying by InstaPay

What do the plans cost?
  • Free: no charge.
  • Standard: 599 EGP a month, or 5,990 EGP a year.
  • Pro: 1,199 EGP a month, or 11,990 EGP a year.
  • Enterprise (chains and companies): by quote. Write to [email protected].

Paying yearly costs ten months' price, so two months are free. Prices exclude VAT. The Prices page always shows the current figures.

What are the add-ons and how do they work?

Add-ons raise what a plan allows. Their prices are per month: an extra branch 299 EGP, an extra till 149 EGP and an extra login 99 EGP.

They are for the Standard and Pro plans and are billed with the subscription invoice. You choose them when you subscribe and the invoice shows the total. Once the payment is confirmed the allowance rises for the period you paid, and it returns to the plan's own allowance when that period ends.

How do I pay by InstaPay, step by step?

Only the owner can subscribe.

  1. In Settings, Subscription (or from the Subscribe button on the Prices page), choose Standard or Pro, monthly or yearly, and any add-ons. The screen shows the total.
  2. Tick that you accept the Terms of service and the Refund policy.
  3. You receive an invoice with its own payment reference and the exact amount.
  4. Transfer that amount by InstaPay (the Pay with InstaPay button opens it, and the address is also shown as text you can copy) and write the reference on the transfer.
  5. Press I've paid, enter the transfer reference, and add a picture of the receipt if you wish (JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 2 MB).
  6. RetailPower checks the transfer by hand, and your plan is active once it is confirmed.
When is my plan active, and what if my transfer cannot be matched?

The plan is active once RetailPower has confirmed the transfer, and the app tells you that the payment is confirmed.

If the transfer cannot be matched, the app tells you why and the invoice stays open. You can then report the payment again with the right details.

Does my plan renew by itself?

No. RetailPower never charges automatically. Before a period ends the app issues a renewal invoice, and you pay it the same way. Each payment gets a numbered invoice under Settings, Subscription.

A price changes only after at least 30 days' notice, in the app and by message.

What happens if I pay late?

The app and a message remind you on the due date, on day 3 and on day 7. The plan stays for 7 more days while you pay. After that the shop returns to the Free plan, and nothing is deleted. If you pay later, the paid plan resumes from the date of payment.

Do prices include VAT, and does RetailPower file my taxes?

Prices exclude VAT. RetailPower is not registered for VAT yet; if that changes, the Prices page and your invoices will say so before any VAT is added to a charge.

RetailPower does not send invoices or receipts to the Egyptian Tax Authority. Your tax and VAT duties stay with you.

Does my shop get its own web address?

Yes. When your first paid payment is confirmed, you choose your shop's own address in the form name.retailpower.app, with your sign-in name offered as the suggestion. You are signed out once and sign in again at the new address.

Refunds and cancelling

Can I get my money back?

Yes, for your first paid payment: if you ask within 14 days, the whole amount is refunded, add-ons included, and you do not have to say why. The paid features then end and the shop returns to the Free plan; nothing is deleted. This refund is given once for each shop and once for each owner.

A charge made by mistake (twice for the same period, for a wrong amount, or without your authorisation) is always refunded in full. Read the refund policy.

How do I stop paying?

Each period is paid by its own payment and nothing is charged automatically, so to stop you simply do not pay the next renewal invoice. You keep the paid features until the period you paid for ends. After that, and after the 7 days of grace, the shop returns to the Free plan and nothing is deleted.

Are later months refunded?

A billing period that has begun is not refunded, because the service is open to you for the whole period; you can stop the next one as described above. RetailPower may refund a later month when there was a real problem on its side. It decides each case and tells you why.

How do I ask for a refund?

Write to [email protected] or on WhatsApp to @RetailPower, from the owner's registered contact details. Give your store name and, if you have it, the invoice number. The policy says you get an answer within three working days. The money goes back the way you paid: an InstaPay payment is refunded by InstaPay transfer to the account you paid from.

Your data and its safety

Whose data is it, and who sees it?

Your shop's data belongs to your shop. RetailPower uses it only to run the service for you, keep it secure and meet the law. It does not sell it, and it does not send it to AI services.

Inside your shop you decide what each person sees: see the topic Staff and permissions.

Is my data backed up?

Yes. RetailPower keeps encrypted backups of its databases.

Their purpose is to restore the whole service after a failure on RetailPower's side. They are not a promise that one record you deleted or changed can be brought back, so keep your own copies of the records the law requires you to keep.

What happens to my data if I go back to Free or close my shop?

Going back to the Free plan deletes nothing. Features that the Free plan does not include are locked: what you recorded stays readable, and nothing new can be created in them.

To close the shop, the owner writes to [email protected] from the registered contact details. RetailPower then keeps the data for 90 days, and during that time you can ask in writing for a copy. After that it is deleted from the live systems, and copies in backups disappear as they expire, within 30 days.

Where are the full rules written?

The Terms of service, the Privacy policy and the Refund policy are published on this site in Arabic and English. If the two differ, the Arabic text prevails.

Working offline and in a power cut

Does RetailPower work without the internet?

RetailPower is an online service. The till needs a connection to complete a sale, and a sale is saved on RetailPower's servers the moment it is completed. Without a connection a sale cannot be completed; everything completed before the cut is already saved.

What happens to a sale in progress when the power or the connection goes?

A sale you have started stays in its sale tab, which the till saves on the server a moment after each change. The last change before the cut may not have reached the server.

When you sign in again on that till, the sale tab is there as you left it, as long as your shift is still open. The shift itself stays open on the server, so you carry on from where you stopped, and a sale that was already completed is never lost.

Branches and stock transfers

How do I add a branch?

The owner adds a branch from the Branches page, and the app asks for the password to confirm. Each new branch gets its own selling floor and stockroom, and a code of two to six Latin letters or numbers that appears on transfers and reports.

The number of branches each plan allows is in the Branches row of the Prices page, and an extra branch is an add-on at 299 EGP a month. If you pass the limit, every branch keeps selling and only a new one cannot be added. A branch is never deleted: when nothing is open there, it can be deactivated.

How does a stock transfer between branches work?

The sending branch's manager picks the receiving branch, then scans or searches the pieces and enters the quantities. The pieces leave the sending stock at once and stay on the road. The receiving branch's manager scans every piece as it arrives to finish counting.

  • A missing piece needs a reason, and the shortage shows in both branches' month checks.
  • An extra piece is accepted with a reason.
  • A transfer can be cancelled while it is on the road, before counting starts; the pieces go back to the sending branch.
  • A piece keeps its cost, so a transfer makes no profit.
  • A transfer slip with a barcode prints on A4 paper or on the receipt printer.

Stock transfers between branches are part of the Pro plan.

Can one branch ask another for stock?

Yes. A branch manager sees the quantity of each size in every other branch (quantities only, never cost), ticks what is needed and asks one branch. Its manager sends the pieces or declines with a reason. If nobody answers within a day, the bell reminds the manager every day until it is answered.

Does every employee see every branch?

No. The owner and administrators work in every branch; every other person belongs to a branch. If you move a person to another branch, their earlier sales, shifts and commissions stay at the old branch, and they start in the new branch at their next sign-in.

Staff and permissions

How do my staff sign in?

You add each person in the app with a role, a username and a password. They sign in with the store name, their username and their password. A person can also be added without a login, for example to keep their file and pay.

The number of logins each plan allows is in the Logins row of the Prices page, and an extra login is 99 EGP a month. On the Free plan only the owner signs in.

Can I choose what each person sees and does?

Yes. For each role you switch on or off the pages, the tabs of a page and the actions, and you can set an exception for one person. Your password confirms the save, the change applies on that person's next request, and every change is kept in a change record.

Who can see what an item cost?

Only the owner and administrators and, in a shop with two or more branches, a manager who belongs to all of them. Item cost never reaches anyone else: the server withholds it, so it is not merely hidden on the screen.

Does RetailPower handle shifts, commissions and payroll?

Shifts: each cashier opens a shift and closes it after counting the cash in the drawer, and every cash in or out is recorded.

On the Standard and Pro plans you also get staff files, attendance, commissions and the payroll run (salaries, advances, deductions and sales commissions). A seller's commission is recorded with every sale at that seller's rate and gathered by month.

Devices, printers and barcode scanners

What do I need to run RetailPower?

A device with a web browser and an internet connection. There is nothing to install.

Which receipt printers can I use?

Receipts print through your browser's print dialog, so a printer that is installed on the computer and appears in that dialog can be used. The paper is 80 mm wide by default, or 58 mm if you choose that width. Each branch has its own printer and paper width.

The setup checklist has a test receipt. If it comes out cut off, try 58 mm and, in the print dialog, set the margins to None and the scale to 100%.

Can I print barcode labels?

Yes. The label designer prints item labels at your printer's size: you set the label width and height in millimetres, send a test label first, and can also print several labels on one A4 sheet.

Which barcode scanners work?

A USB scanner in keyboard mode. At the till you scan a code and the item is found, and this works with an Arabic keyboard layout too. The same scanning is used to receive stock and transfers.

Support

How can I reach support?

By email at [email protected], or on WhatsApp: the username @RetailPower or the number 01142441890 (WhatsApp messages only). Support is in Arabic first. Please write your store name; it is your support ID.

Can I report a problem from inside the app?

Yes. People signed in to the shop can open Report a problem, choose Problem, Idea or Other, describe what happened (10 to 1,500 characters) and attach one picture of the screen (up to 3 MB). The picture is stored without its hidden data, only RetailPower's console administrators see it, and it is deleted after 90 days. Never write a password or a card number.
